Anthony Davis Goes OFF Against Wizards

LOS ANGELES – Anthony Davis looked like he was in his prime again on Sunday night against the Washington Wizards. The #1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft solidified his superstar status during his time with the New Orleans Pelicans from 2012-2019, where he averaged 28.1 PPG, 11.1 RPG, and 2.6 BPG in the 2017-18 season. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019, a blockbuster deal.

During his time with the Lakers, he has struggled with injuries that kept him off the floor, but he has been slowly regaining confidence and dominating the league as he once did before. In 2020, the Lakers, led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, were able to win the NBA Finals and despite a letdown in terms of record in the preceding seasons, both James and Davis have only increased their production as time went on.

The eight-time All-Star, Anthony Davis, is currently averaging 27.2 PPG, 12.6 RPG, and 2.4 BPG this season, and tonight in a 130-119 win against the Washinton Wizards, Davis put up a historic stat line. AD went for 55 points including 17 rebounds and 3 blocks while shooting 22-30 from the field and 2-3 from three. As Davis continues his tear, the Lakers will look to win more games, improving their 10-12 record.
