Ben Simmons Files Huge Grievance Against 76ers

Ben Simmons is challenging his money that was lost during his time with the 76ers.

Simmons has filed a grievance to challenge the nearly $20 million of salary withheld to him by the Philadelphia 76ers this season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

As a member of the 76ers during this current season, Simmons did not play a single game and as a result, the 76ers did not pay him.

Instead of giving him his checks, the 76ers put the money into an account for him to collect if he were to come back and be with the team.

Simmons was instead traded to the Brooklyn Nets on the NBA’s Trade Deadline in a blockbuster deal that sent James Harden to Philadelphia.

Simmons has yet to play a game for the Nets as he is dealing with a herniated disk in his back. He has resumed light on-court work in hopes to return to the court as soon as possible.

The grievance will go through an arbitration process that will decide how much, if any, Simmons will receive.

The NBA Players Association is supporting the grievance that Simmons is filing.
