Eagles Having Prospects Shoot Free Throws

There has been many different approaches to draft interviews in recent years. This year, it looks like the Eagles are using a new one.

Today, the NFL kicked off the media availability for draft prospects at the combine. Wide receivers and quarterbacks were the first positions to be asked questions.

Sam Howell — projected as one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s draft — was asked about his meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles, in which he told reporters that Philadelphia had him shoot free throws on a mini-basketball hoop. (Huh?????)

Howell said that he only made two out of the five free-throws and joked that it might’ve hurt his draft stock a little bit.

Western Michigan Skyy Moore had a similar experience with the Philadelphia Eagles while down at the draft combine.

When asked about his meeting with the Eagles, Moore said that he had to shoot free-throws on the mini-basketball hoop as well. Moore said that he went five for five, making all of the shots. He noted that his meeting with the Eagles was his favorite.
