Joe Ingles Suffers Torn ACL

MRI results have come back — and they revealed that Utah Jazz Forward Joe Ingles has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, a source told The Sports Place.

Ingles, 34, suffered the injury in Sunday’s game vs the Minnesota Timberwolves. Driving to his left on the Wolves defender, Ingles looked to plant his left knee, but it gave out which caused him to fall to the floor.

Ingles immediately showed that he was in pain. He he had to be helped off the floor and into the locker room.

Teammate Mike Conley said after the game that he tracked down Ingles at halftime before giving him some encouraging words:

We found him in the X-ray room. He was in a tough state and just everybody came in there and told him we loved him, gave him a hug and told him we are going keep fighting.

Ingles underwent an MRI on Monday morning and the MRI revealed the devestating news for the Free-Agency bound Forward. The Jazz will now look to make a playoff run without him.

The trade deadline is on February 10th at 3pm and Utah could look to make a move to help replace him.

Before the injury, Utah had spoken to the Boston Celtics about a potential Marcus Smart trade, but nothing was imminent, sources told The Sports Place.
