Former South Dakota State tight end Tucker Kraft seems to be trending upwards ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft that begins on April 27.

Kraft, one of the top tight ends in the draft, has already had four top-30 visits with NFL teams, a source told The Sports Place’s Arye Pulli.

Each NFL team is allowed to host 30 players on top-30 visits ahead of the draft and they are a good sign that the team has interest in a player.

Kraft will have six more visits in a row after the holiday weekend, a source said, bringing his top-30 visit amount to 10 teams.

While his 2022 season was affected by an ankle injury, the 22 year old tight end still managed to total 348 receiving yards in seven games. In 2021, he broke out on to the scene — posting 773 receiving yards and earning All-American FCS First Team honors.

The South Dakota State product projects to be an early Day Two pick. Most mock drafts have him being drafted somewhere between late-first round and mid-third round.

In his pro day at SDSU, Kraft took .1 seconds off of his 40-yard dash time, running a 4.59 40 yard dash, while coming in at 6’5″ and weighing 259 pounds.
