Report: Heinicke Could Remain Starter

After going 3-1 as the starting QB of the Washington Commanders, many people expect Taylor Heinicke to remain the starter, according to ESPN.

In 4 games, Heinicke has 900 total yards and 6 touchdowns.

In an article posted on Wednesday morning, ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler had this to say about the situation:

“As one source told me, young players gravitate toward Heinicke because of his fiery personality and his no-fear attitude, and Ron Rivera knows about the locker-room support for sticking with Heinicke. At the same time, the Commanders value Wentz’s skill and toughness, and he is also well liked there.”

In the off-season, the Indianapolis Colts sent Wentz to Washington. In 6 games this season, Wentz has over 1500 total yards and 10 touchdowns. While Wentz hasn’t played horrible this season, he hasn’t won them games.
