Chris Paul Waived by Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns have informed future Hall of Famer Chris Paul that he will be waved, according to Chris Haynes of TNT. This move will make him one of the most sought-after free agents this summer.

After an NBA Finals appearance and a Phoenix Suns franchise record 64-win season, the Suns decided to waive Paul before his $30 million contract became guaranteed on June 28th.

The Suns now only owe half to Paul at $15.8 million.

After a disappointing early exit to the Denver Nuggets, the Suns have been revamping as CP3 joins 2022 Coach of the Year Monty Williams in the sack.

The Suns look to keep their championship window open with the recent hire of Frank Vogel to lead superstars Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

The longtime vet has some left in the tank, as rumors already swirl considering where he will end up.
