Cavs Acquire Strus Via S&T

The Cleveland Cavaliers have made a significant move on Day Two of the off-season by acquiring sharpshooter Max Strus from the Miami Heat in a sign and trade deal, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The 27-year-old will be joining the Cavaliers on a lucrative four-year contract worth $63 million.

In the trade, the Cavaliers sent Cedi Osman and guard Lamar Stevens, and a second-round pick to the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs, in turn, sent a second-round pick to the Miami Heat to complete the transaction.

Strus, known for his ability to stretch the floor and knock down three-pointers, will provide a scoring boost for the Cavaliers. Last season with the Heat, he continued to showcase his shooting prowess, averaging 11.5 points per game while shooting 35% from beyond the arc.

With this acquisition, the Cavaliers are aiming to strengthen their perimeter shooting and provide additional support for their young core, including Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Darius Garland. Strus’ scoring ability and shooting accuracy make him a valuable asset for the team as they strive to compete in the Eastern Conference.
