Ben Roethlisberger Announces Retirement

Future Hall of Famer Caps Off an Amazing Career:

Just after 10:00 on Thursday morning, Ben Roethlisberger’s official Twitter account posted a video. That video — Big Ben officially announcing his retirement from the National Football League.

Drafted 11th overall in the 2004 NFL Draft, Roethlisberger played in 249 career games with the Steelers throwing for 64,088 yards and 418 touchdowns. He was a two-time Super Bowl Champion and a six-time Pro Bowler.

As a rookie, he won the 2004 Offensive Rookie of the Year — throwing for 2,621 yards and leading the Steelers to a 13-0 record when he was a starter.

In 2006, he won his first Super Bowl, beating the Seahawks 21-10.

In his second Super Bowl victory, he beat the Arizona Cardinals 27-23 in Super Bowl XLIII.

Roethlisberger will surely go down as one of the greatest to ever wear Black and Yellow and is a set in stone Hall of Famer.
