The Miami Dolphins have placed the franchise tag on Tight End Mike Gesicki, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Gesicki, 26, has emerged as a legitimate Tight End in the NFL and will now be paid like one — now being scheduled to make just below $11M this coming season under the franchise tag.

In four seasons with Miami, Gesicki has caught fifteen touchdown passes in 64 games and will now continue as a red zone threat in the Dolphins offense.
