Albert Pujols, Cardinals Agree to 1-Year, $2.5M Deal

Albert Pujols is finishing his cherished career back where it all started. The St. Louis Cardinals are signing Pujols to a one-year, $2.5M deal.

He is expected to be in a more limited role with opportunities to pinch hit late in game and to be the designated hitter in some games, as the MLB just made the universal DH a rule.

Spending 11 years with St. Louis, Pujols had a .328 batting average, hitting 445 homeruns with the Cardinals.
