Bengals Sign Head Coach Zac Taylor to Lucrative New Extension Until 2026

The Cincinnati Bengals announced today that they signed their Head Coach — Zac Taylor — to an extension through 2026.

In Taylor’s first season as the Bengals Head Coach, Cincinnati finished an abysmal 4-11-1 — but likely would have a better record had rookie Quarterback Joe Burrow not torn his ACL. In 2021-22, the Bengals improved to a record of 10-7, winning the AFC North by a game and making the playoffs.

The Bengals did not stop there. Beginning in the Wild Card game vs the Raiders — the Bengals went deep into the playoffs, making the Super Bowl and losing to the Los Angeles Rams by a mere three points.

Taylor’s unique approach and firm holding of accountability helped lead the Bengals all the way to the big game, earning himself a new lucrative extension.

Bengals owner Mike Brown was asked about his thoughts on Taylor’s new extension with the team:

“I think the city of Cincinnati sees him the way the players and I do. He’s brought excitement to the town and deserves credit and recognition for that.”

Both sides — the Bengals and Taylor — will now look to improve their roster this off-season in order to help potentially bolster their organization to another championship appearance in the coming years.
