Carson Wentz Traded to Washington

According to Adam Schefter, for a second straight day there is a big quarterback trade — this time being Carson Wentz.

The Indianapolis Colts are trading QB Carson Wentz to Washington for a package of packs that is thought to include two third-round picks, according to Schefter.

Washington also is receiving a 2022 7th-round pick from Indianapolis as the last part of the Carson Wentz trade that is sending him from the Colts to the Commanders.

The Commanders are paying the full $28 million due to Carson Wentz this year, which includes a $5 million roster bonus due next week.

Wentz threw for 3,563 yards and 27 touchdowns last season in his only season with the Colts.

Washington now fills a need that they have in quarterback — getting a good, reliable starter.
