CFB Weekly: Week 0

Everybody wants to be ‘the guy’ that knows it all about college football, so why not you? In this weekly installment of my unnamed weekly College Football news-letter, you’ll be up to date on the AP Poll, favorites for conference champions, favorites for national championship, the Heisman Race, and more!

With that being said, let’s dive right into what to expect for this upcoming week in College Football!

AP Poll:

The AP poll is destined to flip itself on its head year in and year out and this years preseason Top-25 is poised for some of the same treatment in the 2023-2024 season. Let’s take a look at what the College Football landscape is going to look like heading into week 0:

Conference Championship Favorites:

Not too many Power-5 conferences have a ‘clear-cut’ winner anymore. As College Football moves forward and progresses into a new era, there will cease to be a runaway winner within any conference. Preseason Predictions:

ACC: Florida State

SEC: Georgia

Big-Ten: Michigan

PAC-12: USC

Big-12: Texas

Game of the Week Prediction:

This piece will be to highlight what I think the GOTW will be all the way from Week Zero, to Bowl season.

Week Zero – Navy Vs. Notre Dame (2:30 pm EST, NBC/Peackock, Dublin, Ireland)

I could have picked the San Jose State vs. USC game in this spot but I picked this ND vs. Navy matchup just because of how much upside this Notre Dame team has in 2023 following a questionable 2022. After bringing in new quarterback, Sam Hartman (Wake Forest in 2022), the Fighting Irish are poised to have an intriguing new campaign. They kickoff their 2023 campaign vs. the Navy Midshipmen in Dublin, Ireland. It’s just a fun, and exciting way to kickoff the 2023 season.

Obviously this is week 0 so there aren’t too many more sections this time around but by this time next week there will be sections like weekly MVP, Heisman race, NFL Draft news, Playoff picture, etc..
