Daniel Scott Meets With 1/3 Of NFL Teams: Source

California safety Daniel Scott was a three-year starter and proved to have an instant impact on the defensive side of the ball. It shouldn’t be a surprise that over one-third of the NFL’s teams want to meet with him

Scott, the 6’1″ defensive back, will be visiting three teams this week, a source tells The Sports Place’s Arye Pulli — the Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, and Arizona Cardinals.

The fifth-year senior has also met with eight teams virtually bringing his total amount of teams met to eleven which is over a third of the league.

The 24 year old was invited to the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. At the combine, he ran a 4.45 40-yard dash, showcasing his speed. When looking at the game tape, he looks even faster thanks to his natural and fluid movements.

At Cal in 2021, he earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors from Pro Football Focus and in 2022, Scott earned third-team All-Pac-12 honors from Pro Football Focus and Phil Steele.

In 2022, he started every single game, totaling 85 tackles. In coverage, he had four pass breakups to go along his career-high three interceptions.

Scott projects to be a Day Three draft pick and his stock could rise to the later part of Day Two.
