Eagles, Saints Make Trade of Draft Picks

The Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints made a trade on Monday afternoon that will shake up the draft this season a little bit.

The Eagles sent picks 16, 19, and 194 to the Saints in exchange for picks 18, 101, 237, and a 2023 first-round Pick along with a second-round pick in 2024.

The Eagles previously had three first round picks in the first round — 15, 16, and 19 — and had lots of flexibility to make a move.

The deal allows the Saints to get an extra first-round pick this season, while the Eagles opt to get the long-term end of the deal, getting a first-round pick next season along with a second-round pick in 2024.

Philadelphia now holds picks 15 and 18 in the first round of the 2022 draft while the Saints are now owners of the 16th and 19th picks.

Among players expected to be available at 15, according to CBS Sports — Georgia DL Travon Walker, Clemson CB Andrew Booth Jr, Georgia LB Nakobe Dean, and Ole Miss QB Matt Corral.
