ECU RB Keaton Mitchell Drawing Plethora of NFL Interest: Source

Keaton Mitchell, a 5-foot-8 running back from East Carolina University, seems to be a hot commodity as the NFL draft nears.

Mitchell, who is 21 years old, ran for 1,452 yards in 2022 and had 14 rushing touchdowns. He has had contact with every NFL team during the pre-draft process — according to a source — and has stayed in touch with multiple teams including the San Francisco 49ers.

At the NFL combine, he ran a 4.37 40-yard dash — the third-fastest time. He showcased his speed and elusiveness on the field and impressed teams with his character off of the field.

The Mcdonough, Georgia native earned All-AAC honors in 2021 and 2022 which opened eyes around the league.

As the draft process has taken shape, the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints are two teams that have shown interest in Mitchell, per source, as they have both had formal dinners with him.

Mitchell projects to be a day two or three pick in the 2023 NFL Draft that begins on April 27.
