Gerald McCoy Announces Retirement From NFL

Six-Time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy announced his retirement from the National Football League on Friday morning.

McCoy, who was the third-overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, played ten seasons where he recorded 59.5 career sacks. Most of the ten seasons were with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9).

His most recent appearance was with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021 where he appeared in one game.

He will be remembered as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend as he was named to Pro Bowls every year from 2012-2017.
