Iowa State’s M.J. Anderson Met With 11 Teams: Source

Iowa State EDGE rusher M.J. Anderson has met with 11 teams including a top-30 visit with the Vikings, a source told The Sports Place’s Lincoln Heimbach and Arye Pulli.

The former Cyclone has met with — in a combination of virtual and in-person meetings — the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, and Las Vegas Raiders.

After spending his first 3 years with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Anderson transferred to Iowa State for his 4th and final season in college football.

In his career, Anderson was able to rack up 45 tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks (most of which came in his time as a Cyclone).

His size, length, motor, and hand fighting technique alone should warrant him a draft pick. Anderson is a very raw talent that will need some refining, but is a very impressive athlete that could use the time in the league to develop as a run stuffer and pass rusher.
