Former Fresno State quarterback and current NFL Draft prospect Jake Haener has been someone with a rising draft stock as of recent weeks. A potential third or fourth round draft pick, the 26 year old has been showing all of the signs of a potential draft steal.

After a great showing at Fresno State’s Pro Day, Haener has met with seven teams, a source told The Sports Place’s Arye Pulli. The 24 year old will also be going to Detroit for a top-30 visit with the Lions next week, source said.

Four of the seven teams that he met with were in-person, according to a source. The New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders met with him at Fresno State and Haener visited the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns.

Haener met with three other teams virtually, a source said — the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, and Washington Commanders.

He scored in the 97th percentile in the quarterback-famous S2 test that NFL teams look at carefully.

In his Junior and Senior seasons at Fresno State, Haener threw for a combined 6,998 passing yards along with 53 passing touchdowns.

He was named to first-team, All-Mountain West honors in 2022 and second-team in 2021.
