Lakers Dismissing Head Coach Frank Vogel

The Los Angeles Lakers are going to now be searching for a new head coach.

After going a disappointing 33-49 season and missing the NBA playoffs, the Los Angeles Lakers are firing their head coach, Frank Vogel. Vogel is expected to be told Monday morning, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Vogel was asked after the Lakers’ game on Sunday about the recent news that he will get fired, in which he said that he didn’t even know:

Vogel was originally signed through next season, the 2022-23 season, but the Lakers, after a subpar season, are going to move on.

Los Angeles is expected to take its’ time in order to find a new head coach and is going to go through a thorough search.
