Legend Jim Brown Passed Away Thursday Night.

Pro Football Hall of Famer, Social Activist, Actor, and much more. Jim Brown did anything and everything during his long 87-year life. He retired during the prime of his career to become a major social rights activist in the Civil Rights Movement during the 1960s.  Jim Brown passed away peacefully by his wife Monique’s side on Thursday night.

In a small eight-year window from 1957-1965, Jim Brown became one of the greatest players in NFL history. By the time he retired in 1965, he had tallied 12,312 total yards, and 106 total touchdowns. Smashing records and replacing them with his own, he brought home the MVP in ‘65 and decided to hang it up. He had already led the Cleveland Browns to their last title the year before.

Brown was vital in the NFL’s skyrocketed viewership and after he retired, he moved to the big screen. He appeared in over 30 movies including “Any Given Sunday,” and “The Dirty Dozen.”

Jim Brown’s importance and legacy will live on forever. RIP
