1. Jaguars – Travon Walker
Many have been discussing who will be the number one pick in Thursday’s draft. Ours is Travon Walker. The Jaguars have multiple options here including taking an EDGE in Aidan Hutchinson. Here — Walker goes number one.
2. Lions – Aidan Hutchinson
Hutchinson is an interesting story. He wasn’t on too many radars in terms of a top 3 pick at this time last year, but his success at Michigan this season shot him up in draft boards. He is a freak athlete that will definitely contribute at the next level and in this mock draft he will be contributing to the Detroit Lions.
3. Texans – Charles Cross
There are three top-tier offensive lineman in this draft. Ikem Ekwonu, Evan Neal, and Charles Cross. Neal and Ekwonu have had lots of buzz around their name in the past few weeks, but here the Texans go with Charles Cross from Mississippi State. A surprise to some, but Cross shows real potential to the next level.
4. Jets – Evan Neal
The New York Jets need to bolster their offensive line in order to keep Zach Wilson alive throughout the next season. Here, they get an elite offensive lineman who will help protect Wilson in his early years and potentially develop into an All-Pro level offensive lineman.
5. Giants – Ikem Ekwonu
Cross at three, Neal at four, now Ekwonu at five to the New York Giants. The Giants need some help to their offensive line and Ekwonu is going to do way more than just help a little. Ekwonu spent lots of time pre-draft in the top three of draft boards. Here, he falls to New York, where he will get the opportunity to contribute and contribute immensely.
6. Seahawks – Malik Willis (Via Trade With CAR)
With the offensive linemen being taken at three, four, and five the Panthers are in a tough situation on who to draft. In our mock, Seattle trades up in a trade that has both teams swapping this year’s first round picks.
Seattle needs a new cornerstone quarterback after trading away franchise quarterback Russell Wilson this off-season to the Denver Broncos. Malik Willis is one of the highest-potential players in this entire draft and at sox, the Seahawks take a chance and roll the dice on Willis.
Full Trade:
Panthers Receive:
9th overall pick, 2022 5th round pick, 2023 first round pick
Seahawks Receive:
6th overall pick
7. Giants – Kayvon Thibodeaux
At number seven, Kayvon Thibodeaux is a very very very high value pick. Thibodeaux was projected top 2 in many mock drafts just a few months ago and it seems that teams may be concerned about a lack of character in him. This is just not accurate. Thibodeaux is a freak of nature coming off the edge and is going to be a force to be reckoned with at the next level in the NFL.
8. Falcons – Garrett Wilson
Calvin Ridley — the Atlanta Falcons top receiver — is in some deep trouble. First, he stepped away from football due to mental health issues and this off-season the NFL announced that it would be suspending Ridley for a year when he comes back due to illegal betting on his team during the season.
In need of a new solid wide receiver, the Falcons take the best one off of the board — Garrett Wilson. The Ohio State product is an elite receiver and he will translate well to the next level with the Falcons.
9. Panthers – Ahmad Gardner (Via Trade With SEA)
Sauce Gardner is one of the top corners in the NFL Draft this year and he gets selected by the Panthers here at nine. After trading back with the Seahawks, the Panthers are faced with a tough option here on who to pick. The best player on the board is Sauce Gardner and though the Panthers have a deep defensive back room, they will find a way to utilize him and maximize his potential.
10. Jets – Derek Stingley Jr.
Back to back cornerback picks at nine and ten as the New York Jets go with Derek Stingley Jr. Stingley boosts the Jets defensive back room with a much needed impact. He is expected to contribute immediately and will serve as a bright spot to the Jets defense.
11. Commanders – Drake London
Drake London is right up there with Garrett Wilson and a few other guys in terms of the top receiver in the draft class. Though Wilson edges him in this mock draft, Drake London is a stud and will bring elite skills to the table for the Commanders. Pairing with Terry McLaurin, look for a new deadly receiving duo in Washington.
12. Vikings – Kyle Hamilton
13. Texans – Jermaine Johnson III
14. Ravens – Tyler Linderbaum
15. Eagles – Treylon Burks
Burks is a player to watch out for in the mid-to-late first round. He is a NFL ready receiver and could draw comparisons to Alshon Jeffrey in the Eagles offense when they won the Super Bowl.
16. Saints – Jameson Williams
17. Chargers – Trevor Penning
18. Eagles – Nakobe Dean
19. Saints – Zion Johnson
20. Steelers – Kenny Pickett
Kenny Pickett is a match made in heaven for the Steelers. Hometown kid, Heisman finalist. Watch out for Pickett to become a key factor of the Pittsburgh Steelers offense if they select him in the draft.
21. Patriots – Devin Lloyd
22. Packers – Chris Olave
Olave or any other available receiver is a MUST for the Packers, who just lost their number one wide receiver Davante Adams via trade with the Last Vegas Raiders. Jahan Dotson, Skyy Moore, and George Pickens could be options here for the Packers, but here we have them going with Chris Olave from Ohio State.
23. Cardinals – George Karlaftis
24. Cowboys – Devonte Wyatt
25. Bills – Trent McDuffie
26. Titans – Quay Walker
Some may say Walker is a bit of a reach here, but when you take a look at him, he is a good fit for the Titans and he is someone to look out for in the 2022-23 season.
27. Buccaneers – Kenyon Green
28. Packers – David Ojabo
Ojabo was a top-15 projected pick before he ruptured his Achilles in a workout. He falls to the Packers here, who already made a splash in taking Chris Olave at 22
29. Chiefs – Daxton Hill
30. Chiefs – Jahan Dotson
Dotson is similar to Tyreek Hill. He is ultra-quick and he has the ability to turn it up the field. Kansas City selects him here to try to help fill some of the efforts of Tyreek Hill, who was traded to the Dolphins this off-season.
31. Bengals – Andrew Booth Jr.
32. Lions – Desmond Ridder
Though Ridder is not a perennial quarterback in this draft, the Lions take a shot on him here to try and Jared Goff bridge quarterback era. Ridder fits the system and could develop well.
