Quinnen Williams Won’t Attend Start of Team Workouts: Report

New York Jets All-Pro defensive tackle Quinnen Williams won’t be reporting to the beginning of the Jets’ voluntary off-season program on Monday, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Williams, who is 25, is on the $9.6 million fifth-year option of his rookie contract.

The Jets and Williams have been negotiating for weeks on a long-term contract, but nothing has come from those conversations.

A report from ESPN’s Rich Cimini says that the All-Pro is likely targeting around $23-23 million per season for his contract extension, which would be a significant upgrade from his less-than-$10 million contract that he has now.

Williams has 118 solo tackles in his first four seasons to go along with his 27.5 career sacks. 12 of those sacks came in 2022 alone.
