Rib X-Rays Inconclusive For Rodgers, Could Miss Time

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hurt his ribs in the second quarter Sunday night and reaggravated the injury in the third quarter to the point he was having trouble breathing.

Rodgers is hoping his injured ribs won’t keep him out of next week’s game at Chicago.

The pain was too painful and he also was concerned he might have punctured a lung.

X-Rays were inconclusive as to whether any ribs were broken – he expects to keep playing.

In his absence, backup quarterback Jordan Love threw for 113 yards and a touchdown, hitting rookie wide receiver Christian Watson for a 63-yard touchdown.

Now, expect conversations throughout the league about the Packers potentially starting Love for the extended future.

The Eagles took down the now- 4-8 Packers 40-33 in what was a first half shootout.
