Steelers Extend Mitchell Trubisky

The Pittsburgh Steelers are extending backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, General Manager Omar Khan said on the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday.

Trubisky was entering the final year of a two-year deal with the Steelers. His cap number was scheduled to be $10.6 million, but the extension lowers the number.

He played in seven games with the Steelers in 2022, completing 117 passes for 1,252 yards and four touchdowns.

The new deal for the veteran quarterback will run through the 2025 season.
