Tom Brady Clarifies Retirement Process

See what the QB had to say about the recent reports:

Today, Tom Brady made his weekly appearance on his podcast “Let’s Go” where he clarified some things about his future. The podcast, which started at 7pm EST Monday night, is broadcasted on Mad Dog Sports Radio on Sirius XM.

With his potential retirement being obviously the main topic of the night, Brady was asked many questions on his intentions for the future.

If he decides to play next season, Brady will be entering his 23rd season at 45 years old.

When asked about his retirement, Brady made sure that it was clear that he has not made a decision yet:

“I’m still going through the process I said I was going through. … When the time’s right, I’ll be ready to make a decision one way or the other.”

Whether or not he is retiring was not the only thing he didn’t fully give an answer to. When asked about a timeline, Brady was very noncommittal on a specific date or time period:

“I’ll know when the time is right. … I’m not going to race to some conclusion on that.”

Brady was also asked about ESPN’s report that was released on Saturday by Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington saying that that he is retiring. When getting a chance to answer, Brady sounded understanding on the reporters’ want of being first on the news.

“People want to be in front of the news and I understand that … I am evaluating my decision on a daily basis.”

While we all want to know what’s next for him, Brady will be taking his time and wants to make sure that he will come up with the right decision for him and his family.
