The Big 12 media has revealed their 2023 preseason players of the year, recognizing outstanding performers in the conference. Jalon Daniels, the talented quarterback from Kansas, takes the preseason offensive player of the year honor. Daniels threw for 2,014 yards, 18 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in 2022.

Jaylan Ford, a senior linebacker from Texas, secures the preseason player of the year recognition on defense, with his impressive tackling ability and relentless pursuit of the ball carrier as his standout traits — amassing 62 solo tackles, 2 sacks, and 4 interceptions in 2022.

Treshaun Ward, the transfer running back from Florida State, earns the title of newcomer of the year as a Kansas State Wildcat. Ward is bringing excitement and anticipation to the Wildcats’ fanbase with his speed, power, an agility being showcased in a 628 yard, 7 touchdown 2022 season for the Seminoles.
