Kadarius Toney To Miss Time, Expected To Be Back By Regular Season

Kansas City Chiefs’ young wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who had knee surgery in the off-season, aggravated the injury while fielding a punt in practice. As a result, he’ll miss some training camp time, but the good news is he’s expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, according to Adam Schefter.

The knee cleanup procedure was aimed at ensuring Toney’s top performance for the upcoming season. However, the recent setback has raised concerns about his availability for the training camp, a crucial period for players and coaches to prepare for the season.

The optimistic outlook indicates that Toney will recover in time for the regular season kickoff. During his absence, the Chiefs will test their depth at the wide receiver position and adjust offensive strategies to cope.

Among the players who Kansas City will look to lean on — veteran Marquez Valdes-Scantling, 2nd year receivers Skyy Moore and Justyn Ross, along with rookie second-round pick Rashee Rice.
