Jalon Daniels, the talented quarterback from Kansas, takes the preseason offensive player of the year honor. Daniels threw for 2,014 yards, 18 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in 2022.
Jaylan Ford, a senior linebacker from Texas, secures the preseason player of the year recognition on defense, with his impressive tackling ability and relentless pursuit of the ball carrier as his standout traits — amassing 62 solo tackles, 2 sacks, and 4 interceptions in 2022.
Treshaun Ward, the transfer running back from Florida State, earns the title of newcomer of the year as a Kansas State Wildcat. Ward is bringing excitement and anticipation to the Wildcats’ fanbase with his speed, power, an agility being showcased in a 628 yard, 7 touchdown 2022 season for the Seminoles.
